1. Data controller

The controller is Yumingo, the operator of yumingo.fi, based in Helsinki, Finland. You can contact us at info@yumingo.fi.

2. Information we collect

When a restaurant application is submitted, we may collect:

• restaurant name, business type and Business ID;
• contact person, email address and telephone number;
• restaurant address, city, postal code and optional location coordinates;
• number of tables and seats, delivery status and current ordering platforms;
• messages, menu files and other information included in the application;
• submission time, application reference number and internal onboarding status.

Our hosting and security providers may also process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, request timestamps and server logs, for security and service operation.

3. Why we use the information

We process personal data to:

• receive, review and manage restaurant applications;
• contact applicants about Yumingo onboarding and launch preparation;
• prepare restaurant profiles, menus and onboarding materials where requested;
• protect the website, prevent misuse and troubleshoot technical issues;
• meet legal, accounting and compliance obligations where applicable.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the situation, processing is based on steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement, our legitimate interests in managing restaurant enquiries and operating a secure website, your consent where specifically requested, or compliance with a legal obligation.

5. Who receives the information

Access is limited to authorised Yumingo personnel and service providers needed to operate the website, database, file storage, hosting and security. These providers process data on our behalf and are required to protect it.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where required by law, a competent authority or to protect legal rights.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside Finland or the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an available lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections.

7. Retention

Restaurant application data is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate the application, complete onboarding, maintain necessary business records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. Unsuccessful or inactive enquiries are reviewed for deletion or anonymisation periodically.

8. Security

We use access controls, private storage, server-side credentials, encrypted connections and other reasonable technical and organisational measures. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we restrict access to those who need it.

9. Cookies

This public website does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural tracking cookies. Essential security and session technologies may be used for protected administrative functions. If optional analytics or marketing cookies are introduced, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated first.

10. Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable data-protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future.

11. Complaints
